CO2RE is a versatile fractional laser system that precisely targets and effectively treats the skin’s surface, middle and deep dermal levels in addition to performing traditional CO2 resurfacing. The treatment is lighter, faster and offers more versatility for skin resurfacing when compared to traditional ablation. CO2RE has the ability to treat both superficial and deep layers of skin simultaneously while providing us with maximum precision and control when it comes to the intensity of treatment, pattern and depth of ablation.

With CO2RE skin resurfacing treatment, patients experience improvement in:

• Skin tone and texture
• Sun-damaged skin
• Age spots
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Facial scars such as Acne scars

Ideal candidates for CO2RE are patients with skin damage caused by exposure to the sun, aging, discoloration, post acne scars and other skin imperfections. It is ideal for anyone seeking younger-looking skin without the long downtime associated with conventional resurfacing procedures.

You can expect some moderate discomfort during the treatment, but the anesthetic applied prior to the procedure typically makes any discomfort very tolerable. For more aggressive, higher powered treatments, we may decide to use a subcutaneous anesthetic, oral pain relievers and/or sedatives during the treatment session. Over-the-counter pain relievers may be taken in the days after the procedure to alleviate any residual discomfort.

How many CO2RE treatments will I need?

Generally, you will achieve significant improvement after only one treatment. In the days after the treatment, your skin will gradually look softer and smoother. Age spots and uneven skin texture will start to show immediate improvement. However, you will continue to experience in your skin for up to 6 months after the treatment.

CO2RE results are similar to that of surgical procedures. However, there are a number of variables that will determine how long you can expect the results to last, including your health, age and how well you care for your skin. We will be happy to provide you with useful skin care tips to make your results last as long as possible.

Immediately following the procedure, you can expect a sensation similar to sunburn, which may last for several hours. In the days following treatment, you will experience peeling of dead skin from the treatment area. This is a natural exfoliation process and may last seven to 10 days.

We  may recommend an antiviral medication and/or an antibiotic in the days following treatment. Use of a non irritating moisturizer  and sunscreen (minimum 30 SPF) are recommended during the healing process and for the weeks and months following treatment.

Cost depends on the area being treated, the condition being treated and the aggressiveness of the treatments themselves. After a throughout consultation, we will create a treatment plan to meet your personal needs.

Due to the high absorption of water, the laser uses the ideal wavelength for treating the zone of photodamage/photoaging, which lies 300 microns into the dermis. The Affirm laser is associated with minimal downtime, adverse effects, and discomfort during treatment. Erythema and edema are transient and heal rapidly. A variety of different systems are available on the market but it’s very important to know that not all the system made for such purpose provide equal results. Some of the technologies offer a very limited application and do not provide enough power or wavelengths to treat all skin conditions.
IPL is a non-invasive/non ablative treatment that requires little downtime, depending on the condition to be treated.
Sciton BBL is a very powerful system that not only can treat a wide variety of skin concerns but it also improves the quality of the skin and reverses some of the age related issues. It has a capability to show significant results in as quickly as one treatment. It can be extremely beneficial in treating some of the following skin concerns:

• Photo/sun Damage
• Uneven skin pigmentation/Sun spots
• Rosacea, broken blood vessels, flushing
• Skin texture , superficial lines
• Collagen remodelling/reproduction
• Some degree of skin tightening

It can be safely used on face, neck, chest, hands, arms and legs. Other areas may be assessed on an individual basis to determine suitability.
